Date: January 07, 2018

Time: 1:00 pm

It’s the first of the year, you’re ready to get moving! What better way than to let us show you eight of the top beginner-friendly trails in the Triangle. Hikes in our GetHiking! Beginner Series range from 2 to 4.2 miles and will expose you to the wealth of hiking opportunities in the region. These hikes are exceptionally beginner friendly: the trails are some of the best maintained in the region, we hike for less than two hours, and our hikes are all led from the rear, meaning no one is everey left behind.

Our hike schedule:

  • Jan. 7 Umstead State Park, Raleigh: Sal’s Branch Trail. 2.8 miles
  • Jan. 14 Durant Nature Park, Raleigh: Various trails looping the lake. 3 miles
  • Jan. 21 West Point on the Eno, Durham: Eagle Trail out-and-back. 3 miles
